Dr Rosana Retsos Signorelli Vargas
Rosana is a mathematician and professor at the Licentiate in Natural Sciences and Bachelor's Degree in Biotechnology at the School of Arts, Sciences and Humanities of the University of São Paulo (EACH-USP). She works as a professor and coordinates the Professional Master in Mathematics (Profmat) at EACH-USP since 2015.
She is the creator of the project "Vai ter menina na Ciência", that has as an objective to encourage the interest for various areas of Science in elementary school girls.
Her research interests are in the area of Mathematics, with an emphasis on Algebra; Teaching Mathematics and Science; Scientific Dissemination and Women in STEM.
As part of this project, Rosana wants to understand the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on the lives of young female students related to STEM teaching and learning during this period.
